WELCOME TO NEWTOWN NATIONAL SCHOOL

Fáilte romhaibh go léir go dtí Scoil Naomh Abban. We are a vertical co-education school in Crettyard Co. Laois. Newtown National School was established in 1948. Our school is a caring community, a place where every pupil is valued equally.  We adopt a holistic approach, giving our students the opportunity to develop many different facets of their lives. We provide opportunities for the students to get involved in many different activities in order to help them develop new interests, skills and friends.  We have built a good relationship with our parents and wider community in order to work together for the benefit of our students.

Our Games Development Officer for 2026/27 is Jordan Walsh. Jordan works with all kids in the school every Wednesday.
